New Lego for Breakfast Club
Thanks to Mrs Watt and a successful bid that was put in to Kelloggs we received funding to support our Breakfast club. Having spoken to the children it was decided that the money would be spent on new Lego for the children to use after they have had their breakfast.
As you can see in the photos it was very popular!!!
McMillan Coffee Morning 2017
September brought about our annual coffee morning to raise money for McMillan Cancer Research. Yet again the staff, parents and children did not let us down! The cakes were delicious, the hall was standing room only and the money raised was fabulous!!!
An amazing amount of £400 was collected! Thank you to all who took part!
Oscar Romero Competition
As part of our work learning about Oscar Romero, the children all took home an Oscar bag to share with their family. The bag included information about Oscar Romero and the life he led.
Inside the bag there was also an opportunity to design our own cross.
The best ones received their own mini crosses to take home.
Horden in Bloom
We were pleased to welcome Councillor Isabelle Roberts into a special assembly to congratulate our ‘Horden in Bloom’ winners and present them with their prizes!
Well done to all our winners!
Safer Internet Day 2017
Our school will be holding a Safer Internet Day on Tuesday 7th February. Parents are invited to come into school and find out what the children have been learning about.
Christmas Jumper Day and Lunch
To make our Christmas lunch even more special we combined it with the Save the Children Christmas jumper day. The children and staff loved showing off their special Christmas themed jumpers, some of which were even home made and decorated with lights and tinsel! As well as having a fantastic time we managed to raise £100 to such a worthy cause!
