Friday 10th June brought about a royal atmosphere in school! The children came in wearing read, white or blue clothing and we even had a few princesses floating about. The fun packed day involved making crowns, assembling kites, a special fish and chip lunch followed by an afternoon visit to the ice cream parlour and photo booth! Children and staff had a wonderful day and the children received a special commemorative mug. Click here to see some of the photos that were taken.
We recently held a skipping workshop in school whereby Chris Corcoran worked with every class to teach the children how to skip initially and then how to progress their skills into paired and team work. The day was a fantastic success and finished with a whole school assembly so some children could demonstrate their new found skills. As a result of this we have become skipping crazy and it is lovely to see the children practising their skills at break times. Skipping ropes are still on sale from Mrs Ramshaw at £5 each.
Class 4 children enjoyed a fantastic weekend at our recent residential trip. They completed a range of activities from Sumo wrestling, canoeing, abseiling and canoeing! Click here to see some of the photos from the weekend.
We have a very informational session planned to raise awareness of on line safety issues. The children will be presenting a range of activities about on line safety and how protect themselves on line. Parents are invited to attend this presentation at 2pm on Tuesday 9th September.
The children are looking forward to celebrating Chinese New Year in style this year with a carousel of activities and even a visit from a Chinese language and cultural advisor! Watch this space for photographs of the event!
